As the driving force behind The Old Web Works I have 15 years of experience in online media. Having served in a variety of roles such as webmaster, content manager and programmer to online community coordinator and moderator enables me to present a variety of online services through The Old Web Works. The goal here at The Old Web Works is to provide quality and personalized online services such as site building, editorial, social media and WordPress and Joomla! customizations to individuals, small businesses and non-profit organizations. We are particular keen on working with non-profits and offer discounts on all services to qualified organizations.

In the early days my focus was on a small clientele of e-commerce and personal sites, but I soon began to work for a major online media company. I decided to return to my roots of providing personalized online services to a smaller clientele set after nearly a decade in the corporate environment. Your content is the star and we aim to present your content to the world in an aesthetically pleasing and smooth functioning site. On many sites we utilize content management systems such as Joomla! and WordPress. These tools empower site owners to have mastery over their own content as the code (design and function of the site) and its content are separated. Once a site goes live a site owner can maintain and update their own content without having to know any code or HTML "gibberish" should they wish to. Of course The Old Web Works provides complete site management and editorial services so that you need never do anything other than sit back and browse your site.

Content is key and is my specialty that is backed by 10 years of experience programming home and garden related content for a major media company. Content comes from many sources such as original copy, partner or advertiser provided and user-generated. When done right, a content driven site that is aesthetically pleasing serves to provide a cohesive and engaging online experience for a target audience better than a site with lots of things flashing and moving and jammed together. You won't find any of those types of sites here.

User generated content has exploded in the last few years as social media has grown into a phenomena. We have been there since the beginning building online forums from the ground up, moderating user-generated content and supporting the behind-the-scenes tasks. Operating in a virtual work environment can have its challenges and is not for everyone, but it is where we thrive. The management and development of online community operations is second nature.
